Laser Hair Removal Post Care Instructions
Avoid sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum (UVA/UVB) SPF 30+ sunscreen
Redness and perifollicular edema (similar to a bumpy rash) are common following the treatment and resolve with time
If needed, apply 1% hydrocortisone cream to the treated area every 8 hours for the first 48 hours after treatment.
Avoid heat – hot showers or baths, hot tubs, saunas, etc. – for 1 to 2 days
Avoid skin irritants a few days before and after treatment
Products containing tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, astringents, etc. should be avoided
No waxing, plucking or tweezing body hair during the entire course of the treatment
For facial hair, waxing, plucking, or tweezing may be done for 1 week after the treatment, but not before
Hair removal requires a series of treatments. The number of treatments depends on body location and type of hair. Our FDA-approved laser typically results in 65-85% permanent hair reduction.
Some areas, such as facial hair, may require more treatments and more maintenance
